We provide data to third parties principally in the following respects

Administration Services Limited (ASL) manages the administration function on behalf of the ISTC. ASL is a private limited company registered in England number 2230784. ASL is the data processor for the ISTC and is registered with the ICO with the number Z9140072.

Mailings – Print companies / fulfilment houses

ISTC will only disclose your information to agents who are conducting business on our behalf and only use it for the agreed purposes i.e.: distribution of the Communicator magazine.

Bulk e-mailings
dotdigital is used for bulk e-mailings and its privacy policy may be viewed here: https://dotdigital.com/terms/privacy-policy/ Email addresses are deleted from dotdigital after 6 months.

Directory of Members
ISTC publishes the name, grade and location of members in its directory of members. You must opt in and confirm that you wish your details to be shown in this listing.

Details provided in support of employment applications

As your professional body and as a service to Members / students, if ISTC receives verification requests from current or prospective employers, employment agencies, regulators or other third party contacts we will only confirm that you are a member or student if a consent form, signed by you, accompanies the request.

Sharing / selling data to third parties

ISTC only shares data internally between its membership and managing Council. In all uses we ensure that member, student and affiliate preferences are always respected.

Your data is never sold or made available to a third party.

Methods of data collection
ISTC uses several methods for collecting data, including: online via the website/ email and hard copy such as application, registration and enquiry forms.

Data storage & security

Your data is kept on a secure system. All staff at ASL with access to your data are contractually bound to keep this information confidential.

In addition to receiving messages for ISTC, your contact details may be provided to your local area group organiser so that you can hear about local networking events and activities.

Outside the UK, your contact details may be provided to another member who wishes to set up a local group. You will be asked first if your contact details may be passed to them.
