ISTC Communicator goes online
From January 2012, the ISTC is pleased to announce that their quarterly printed journal, Communicator can now be purchased as a PDF.
For further information about subscribing to Communicator see the Communicator page of the website and the subscriptions section. If you're a member, you already have access to Communicator PDFs in the Members' Area of the ISTC website.
Communicator regularly includes: articles by some of the top 10 technical communication bloggers; articles on case studies, writing, indexing, translation, localisation, illustration and more; regular columns on ethical dilemmas, international standards, editing and more.
Katherine Judge, Commissioning Editor said “This is an excellent opportunity to broaden the number of subscribers we have as well as increasing our audience.”
We're happy to receive feedback and welcome all suggestions for improvement.
TCUK HEADS NORTH!
After three very successful years at venues in the Midlands and the South-East of England, the Technical Communication UK conference (TCUK) is heading North for 2012. "We're delighted to announce that TCUK 2012 will be at the Marriot Gosforth Park Hotel in Newcastle, from 2nd to 4th October 2012," David Farbey, Chair of TCUK 2012, said today. "This is an impressive venue with excellent conference facilities," said David. "Choosing a venue in the North of England emphasises our commitment to serve the technical communication community throughout the UK. We're looking forward to a really great event next October."
The call for papers for TCUK 2012 will be published in January. In the meantime, anyone interested in volunteering to join the organistation team for TCUK 2012, or any organisation interested in being a sponsor for the event, is invited to get in touch by email.
