The 2008 ISTC Conference is to be held from Tuesday 23rd September 2008 to Thursday 25th Septemberr 2008, at Eastwood Hall, Nottingham. Continuing with the successful format of 2006 and 2007, the 2008 Conference is to be held during the week. Visit the Conference 2008 page to see the planned proceedings and presentations.

It’s time to start choosing which of your
finest works could be contenders for
this year’s UK Technical Communication
Awards (formerly the ISTC Documentation
Awards). The deadline for entries is
30 June and presentations will be made at
Conference in September. Redesigned last
year, the Awards recognise clear, concise

A major focus for the ISTC in 2008 is Continuing Professional Development. We recognise the need to undertake annual CPD to extend and update our skills to retain a competitive skill set. To this end, we have opened a CPD section in the Members Area, with links to CPD providers and discounted CPD courses.
The ISTC Discussion Group has produced some thoughts about style, intended as an overview to the subject. It is the thoughts of the discussion group and not a definitive set of standards. These thoughts can be found in the Resources area.
