Join the ISTC
The ISTC offers you opportunities to exchange views and information with other scientific and techncial communicators. It offers subsidised training for its members, and recognition of professional status including the use of MISTC/FISTC (for suitably qualified and experienced people). There are other benefits too.
Remember that membership is open to anyone who is, or wants to be, involved with scientific or technical communication. The level of membership is dependent upon your skills and experience.
The membership fees are as follows:

Subscriptions may be made easily by direct debit, credit card or cheques.
To apply for corporate membership of the ISTC:
- Contact the ISTC Office and request a form, or download an application form (PDF file). Please remember that you are applying for membership to a professional association. Poorly completed or incomplete applications may adversely affect your application.
- Attach a current CV that provides details of your education, qualifications and experience.
- Note that we may contact you and ask for further information to help assess your application.
- You will be invoiced for the appropriate membership fee once your application has been accepted.
- Above all, if you're not sure, please ask.

A candidate for admission to the Institute whose application has been approved shall be a prospective member until such time as they become a member in accordance with Article 18 of the Articles of Association.
Remember that by applying for membership of the ISTC you agree to adhere to the Code of Conduct and other regulations of the Institute.
If you would like to attend Conference 2008 and are not yet an ISTC Member, Student Member or Associate Member, this is the time to apply to join. You will more than recoup your first year’s membership costs in the discounted Conference rates that ISTC members pay. Applying to join the ISTC is easy (you can download the form at http://www.istc.org.uk/Membership/join_the_istc.htm). As long as we know your application for membership has been submitted to the ISTC office, you will only need to pay the Member-discounted Conference rates
